Dear Parents and Guardians,
It was a wonderful start of staggered entry which gave me an opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with your child and connect with her/him to build a rapport. I am excited and looking forward to the new normal environment in our Vista Learning Community. We would like to share our learning space with you. You will notice changes from learning spaces in previous years. Here are some photographs displaying how the classroom is arranged to meet the Health and Safety Measures set by CBE.
Room 8
VHS Hallway Areas
Ask your child about the pylons and X's on the floor.
Ask me what is the rule to to to the bathroom?
Ask me how many students can be in the bathroom?
Please ensure you complete the COVID-19 Alberta Health Daily Self Assessment Checklist for your child everyday before coming to school.
For more information regarding CBE's safety measures for Scenario 1 please visit the website.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact me. I will be happy to support you and your family.
A few Learning Tasks
Today we had a conversation about healthy snacks and why it is important to dispose off our garbage appropriately to avoid spreading germs!

Thank you parents for send a separate bag for the garbage i.e. wrappers and boxes.
Lukas talked about his healthy choice of snack😊.
Physical Education with Mr. Pivarnyik
We practiced different strategies to control the ball using our foot, elbow and knee.
Ask me about my colour... I am in the .......... team.
When we listen, follow directions and the routines of gym we earn hockey sticks for our class. It will be a team effort so we all need to follow instruction to earn a hockey from Mr. Pivarnyik. This helps our class work as a team and build strong relationships with each other to collect more hockeys than other grades.
Learning Tasks
Ask me to find 4, 7, 3, 2.
Have a wonderful long weekend! We will see you on Tuesday, September 8th, 2020.
Thanks,
Mrs. Malik
